The St. Catherine North police detained a group of Haitians on Thursday during an operation on Featherbed Lane in Spanish Town.
The police say three women and two men were held during the operations.
About 6:20 a.m., the police, acting on information, went to Featherbed Lane where a house was searched and the Haitians found.
The Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency was called in to verify their status.
It was determined that the group had been living in Jamaica illegally for about one year.
The St. Catherine North police say the investigation is ongoing.
