Haiti surpasses 1,000 coronavirus cases

Four people died and 105 new cases were reported as Haiti became the first CARICOM country to register more than one thousand cases of the coronavirus.
 
The Ministry of Public Health in its daily bulletin said the pandemic is accelerating.
 
It said the number of people infected in 24 hours for the first time exceeded the bar of 100 cases.
 
Haiti now has 1,063 cases of coronavirus.
 
The authorities said the four deaths brought the total number of people who have died since the first COVID-19 case was recorded on March 19, to thirty-one.
