There's a deepening rift between residents of Sandy Bay in the western parish of Hanover and the police following an incident on Thursday which left one teenager dead and the other in hospital battling for life.
Dead is Ashanti Clarke, 17, while in serious condition is Javier Vidal, 16.
Residents claim that the teenagers, who were travelling on a motorbike, were stopped by the police and later beaten. Ashanti died on Monday from head injuries.
The residents staged a demonstration on Tuesday demanding the intervention of the Independent Commission of Investigation (INDECOM) their Member of Parliament and the National Security Minister.
