Holness touts positive economic numbers

Prime Minister Andrew Holness

Prime Minister Andrew Holness has again highlighted positive economic indicators as evidence of the benefits of his governing Jamaica Labour Party's  initiatives.

Mr Holness has also dismissed claims by the opposition People's National Party that the country is heading in the wrong direction.

The JLP Leader, addressing supporters earlier this week in Hanover, said the policies of the current administration are working and is calling for supporters to rally round the party.

The Prime Minister has been campaigning relentlessly across the island as he seeks give his party the advantage in a hotly contested local government election campaign.

The election will be held on February 26.
