A prominent executive of a hotel in St James is now under investigation by the police following the fatal shooting of a man during a bird shooting incident yesterday.
The incident occurred in bushes in Barrett Hall sometime after six o'clock.
The deceased has been identified as 38 Anthonio Davis, a wood carver of Carey Park, Trelwany.
It is believed that the fatal incident occurred after the executive's firearm went off prematurely as he took aim to fire at a bird.
Mr Davis, who was shot in the shoulder, later died in hospital.
The police have not yet released any details on the incident.
