India is calling Canada a safe haven for terrorists following its suspension of visas for Canadian citizens, as the fallout grows over accusations that New Dehli is responsible for killing a Sikh separatist leader on its soil.
In a strongly worded statement on Thursday, India's foreign ministry said Canada needs to be concerned about its international reputation in the wake of explosive allegations that it is an incubator for organised crime.
The statement follows India's suspension of visas for Canadian citizens over what is describes as security threats to its high commision, consulate and diplomats.
Tensions have been brewing between both countries for the last few months with relations now being at an all time low.
