The international minister, who is accused of sexually
assaulting a teenaged girl and carnally abusing another, had his bail extended
when he appeared in the Savanna-La-Mar Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday
morning.
Paul Lewis, who operates his Ministry from Brooklyn in New York, is to return to court on August 4 when the case is set for mention.
In court on Tuesday prosecutors asked for more time to complete their file in order to begin the trial which led to the case again being set for mention.
The dapperly attired Minister was appearing for the second time in Westmoreland, the parish where he had appeared as guest pastor for a week-long crusade.
He is accused of taking two young girls ages 14 and 15 on a rendezvous which allegedly ended at his hotel in Negril.
He is alleged to have fondled one of the girls and having sex with the other, then giving them cash.
The self-proclaimed healer was arrested the following night by the Westmoreland police just before he was scheduled to preach on the last night of the service.
