The Island Traffic Authority (ITA) says it is experiencing a service disruption caused by damaged fibre infrastructure.
The damage was temporarily affecting access to the Fitness Management System and has impacted the processing of Electronic Certificates of Fitness (eFitness) at all ITA service hubs.
The ITA says persons whose eFitness certificates have already been processed can continue to access their certificates through the Certificate Generation and Distribution System.
It says efforts are under way to resolve the issue and restore full service within 24 hours.
The Court Administration Division and the Jamaica Constabulary Force have been notified of the service disruption.
