Jamaica, which has seen a surge in coronavirus cases, is among three countries which have been added to the United Kingdom's quarantine list.
Britons on holidays in Jamaica, Switzerland and Czech Republic now have until Saturday to return home or face self-isolating for 14 days.
The UK government said the move was needed to keep the United Kingdom's infection rates down.
A report on the Daily Mail's website Thursday said Jamaica appears to be dangerously close to the threshold.
It said the island has already tipped the safe limit, having recorded 612 cases of coronavirus over the last seven days.
People who do not self-isolate when required can be fined up to £1,000 in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
In Scotland, the fine is £480, and up to £5,000 for persistent offenders.
