Carnival in Jamaica has returned with a bang!
The week-long celebration which begins today will take revelers up to April 18.
Road March which is the main carnival event, will take place this Sunday where patrons will indulge in our culture of music, food and dance.
This season has reflected positively on tourism, as visitors flock the island to participate in the festivities.
Events include breakfast parties, nighttime fetes and various activities associated with the masquerade bands.
The bands in Carnival Jamaica include Bacchanal, Xodus and GenXs.
Co-owner of the Xodus Carnival Band, Scott Dunn said this year's economic boost from Carnival is expected to hit approximately 5 billion dollars.
