Jamaica Post promising improved service

Jamaica Post is promising faster delivery, more accurate tracking and fewer delays as it upgrades the technology used to process international mail.

The upgrades to its International Postal and Customs Declaration systems began on August 1.

All international letters, parcels and Express Mail Service items will now be processed using the full versions of both platforms.

Jamaica Post says the move will improve the exchange of customs information, strengthen security and allow for faster communication with airlines, customs authorities and postal operators overseas.

The upgrades are also expected to provide more reliable international shipping services for small businesses and e-commerce operators.

A new customer-focused website is also scheduled to be launched later in the 2026–2027 financial year.

In the meantime, customers are being warned to expect possible temporary service disruptions as the new systems are implemented.
