Jamaican man pleads guilty to gun charges, illegal re-entry in US

  
A Jamaican citizen, Damion Alexander Peddie, on Friday pleaded guilty in federal court in Washington, DC in connection with possessing a cache of weapons and narcotics and for illegally re-entering the United States.
 
Peddie, 54, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, alien in possession of a firearm, and unlawful re-entry of a previously removed alien. 
 
Sentencing is scheduled for March 20, 2026.
 
He faces a maximum of 15 years imprisonment for each of his firearms offences, and a maximum of 20 years imprisonment for his unlawful re-entry offence.
 
Peddie was previously convicted of multiple drug trafficking offences and had been removed from the US on at least four occasions.
