Jennifer Edwards dismisses calls for her resignation

Jennifer Edwards, Executive Director of  the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA, has shrugged off  a call from Jamaica Labour Party affiliate, the Women's Freedom Movement (WFM) to resign. The group made the call after criticising Miss Edwards for retaining the post of  president of the PNP's Women's Movement while heading the state-run agency.

Miss Edwards has dismissed the stance taken by the JLP group as a mere political ploy. She told RJR News that there was no link between the two roles.
