KSAMC fines two developers for building breaches

Chairman of the Kingston & St. Andrew Municipal Corporation Andrew Swaby

The Kingston & St. Andrew Municipal Corporation announced on Tuesday that two developers, Estatebridge Holdings and the Jacden Group, have been fined for building breaches.

The building breaches were identified at a residential property at 2 Weycliffe Close in Beverly Hills, being developed by Estatebridge Holdings, as well as at a commercial building at 18 and a half Lyndhurst Road being developed by Jacden Group.

Mayor of Kingston Andrew Swaby, who is also Chairman of the Kingston & St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC), said both projects have been "regularized."

But he said the developers have been fined.

"In the case of Estatebridge, the applicant was required to pay three times the building fees, and for 18 and a half Lyndhurst Road, the applicant was required to pay one per cent of the total cost of construction," he revealed at a meeting of the KSAMC.
