The Little London Health Centre in Westmoreland is to undergo expansion works under the Ministry of Health and Wellness's Operation Refresh Initiative.
Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton says the expansion will be undertaken to create more space for doctors and the records room.
Dr. Tufton says the work, expected to be undertaken over a three-month period, will enhance service delivery to the growing number of patients.
He says the facility has added more physicians and nurses over the last couple of years in response to a seven per cent increase in the total number of visits, with just over 9,000 visits last year.
Operation Refresh is a $1-billion initiative launched by the government last year to enhance the functionality and overall experience of select health centres nationwide.
