Minister of Legal & Constitutional Affairs Marlene Malahoo Forte says the digitization of the country's laws will empower the society.
She was speaking earlier this week at the launch of the Jamaica Legal Information Portal.
Mrs Malahoo Forte said the portal will allow public access to a number of laws under the first phase of the digitisation process.
The minister said, under phase two, the portal will be populated with all the laws dating back to 1962.
