Met Service warns of unstable weather beginning Friday morning

The Meteorological Service of Jamaica says unstable weather conditions are expected across the island beginning Friday morning.

This, as a broad trough currently across the northwestern Caribbean is expected to move closer to Jamaica by Thursday night.

The Met Service says the forecast is for periods of showers and thunderstorms, which may be heavy at times, to affect most parishes, especially eastern and central parishes, through Sunday.

Fishers and other marine interests, along the north and south coasts, are being told to exercise caution, as sea conditions are expected to deteriorate.
