Transport Minister Daryl Vaz says discussions regarding the local operations of ride hailing companies continue in earnest.
The Minister had initially announced a ban on their operations but had to backpedal after it was revealed that he did not have the legal authority to enforce such an action.
Minister Vaz says the Transport Authority is leading the discussions with the various stakeholders to be able to quickly arrive at an amicable resolution.
"Both InDrive and Uber are in touch with the Transport Authority and the Ministry working through the mechanisms in terms of addressing our concerns while we do the legislation."
