Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education Dr Kasan Troupe
The Ministry of Education is moving to install more ramps at schools across the island.
The issue of access was brought to the fore last year after a student using a wheelchair was placed at Merl Grove High School which lacked the necessary accessibility.
The Ministry of Education moved to address the situation with the installation of a ramp.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education Dr Kasan Troupe says six schools have since received assistance to improve accessibility.
Dr Troupe says the Ministry will be ensuring schools that need retrofitting are prioritsed.
