The Children and Family Support Unit of the Child Development Agency has provided assistance to more than 4,600 children and their families facing economic challenges and other issues.
The agency made the revelation in a statement on Wednesday while providing an update on the family whose house was destroyed by a fire in Washington Boulevard, St. Andrew on Monday.
Eleven persons, including four children, were left homeless.
The Children and Family Support Unit said it will be speaking with Food for the Poor to find a more suitable housing arrangement for the family.
