MP cites lack of clarity on plans for St. Thomas housing project

By Henry Shirley

James Robertson, MP for St. Thomas Western, has challenged the principals behind plans for a housing development in St. Thomas to provide more clarity on the project details.

The project plan should result in more than 800 housing solutions at Roselle Estates.

Member of Parliament for St. Thomas Western James Robertson, who attended a community consultation on the project, questioned the lack of details in the presentation.

He expressed disappointment at what was presented and asserted that more in-depth information should have been presented.

Mr Robertson, in direct questioning of the developers, itemised several concerns: " We haven't heard about the number of units... We want to know about density... I called you this morning and asked you many, many questions to prepare myself for being present; the labour force required for the project; a number of questions, and you have not addressed any of them, to my satisfaction..."
