Residents of Liberty Hill in St. Ann will have to wait until the next school year for the construction of a school to replace the one destroyed by fire in May.
Education Minister, Ronald Thwaites, says Government is committed to constructing a state-of-the-art school in Dumbarton, St Ann.
The Minister, in a meeting Wednesday with representatives of the board and Parent Teachers Association of Liberty Hill Primary School, said his Ministry will continue to cover transportation expenses for students.
Students of Liberty Hill Primary have been reassigned to Discovery Bay All-Age as well as other schools.
Wednesday's meeting was called to hear the residents' concerns regarding the construction of a primary school.
Last Thursday they protested against the slow pace in rebuilding the school.
They also complained that students had been relocated to Discovery Bay All Age which is over crowded.
