A newborn baby is among 601 new cases of COVID-19 in Jamaica.
The cases were confirmed from 1,546 samples on Thursday.
The positivity rate is 37.5 per cent.
COVID-19 hospitalisations have declined from 726 on Wednesday to 708 on Thursday.
Some 104 patients are severely ill, while 56 are in critical condition.
The coronavirus has also claimed four more lives in Jamaica, increasing the death toll to 1,772.
Two of the deaths were recorded in Kingston, while St. Catherine and St. Mary each had one.
Three more deaths are being investigated by the Ministry of Health.
