Nearly four months after nine-year-old Abigail Smith
disappeared while walking home from school, her mother is still hopeful that
someone can help bring her little girl home.
The child, who attended the Browns Hall Primary School in St. Catherine, was last seen by a community member on April 21 walking behind a group of older school children on the road leading to the community of Macca Tree where she lived.
However, she never arrived home.
The child's mother, Alicia Jarrett-Johnson, said today that she continues to suffer great emotional distress as there has been no further word on her daughter.
"I am still concerned about her, me cannot sleep every day I cry, and me miss Abigail so very much and me want to see her to come home back," she said.
The police said that searches of the area turned up no sign of the little girl or any of her belongings.
