The National Water Commission is advising motorists that permanent road reinstatement works have started along Old Hope Road between Retreat Avenue and Munroe Road.
The period of work is October 5 to 18.
The NWC says the contractor will first undertake reinstatement of the northbound lanes, reducing the road from four lanes to two for approximately one week. Work will then shift to the southbound lanes for a further week, under similar traffic arrangements.
Motorists are being urged to allow extra travel time, approach the work area with caution and follow the directions of traffic personnel and posted signs.
