NWA restores access to several roads in western Jamaica

The National Works Agency restored access to several roads in western parishes over the weekend.

The NWA says there has been damage to roads in St. James, Westmoreland, Hanover and Trelawny.

Community Relations Officer at the NWA's Western Office, Janel Ricketts, says the roads have been affected by inundation, washed down silt and debris.

Other roads are partially blocked by downed power lines as well as trees.

Cleaning and assessment of roads are continuing with some still blocked.
