The emergence of entertainer Vybz Kartel as the face of tourism in St. Vincent and the Grenadines has sparked outcry among Vincentians.
A video shared on the Discover SVG Facebook page shows Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, advocating for visitors to vacation in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
However, Vincentian lawyer Jomo Thomas says having Vybz Kartel as the face of the country's tourism product is bad for business.
Mr. Thomas says there is no value in the move which he predicts will not reap any real results.
