OUR monitoring storm preparation of utility providers

The Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR) says it has received updates from all major utility providers about preparations for any significant effects from Tropical Storm Melissa.

This is in keeping with the providers' business continuity plans, which were all submitted to the OUR in June this year as required.

The OUR says it will continue to stay in close contact with the Jamaica Public Service Company, the National Water Commission, Digicel and Flow, and will keep the public informed of any major developments as it monitors the utilities' storm preparations and restoration of services if needed.
