A pedal cyclist was killed in a fatal accident on Long Lane, Stony Hill in St. Andrew Wednesday morning.
The Constant Spring Police Traffic Department reports that Rohan Coombs, 42, of Thompson View in Waterhouse, Kingston was riding his bicycle along Lone Lane towards Manor Park about 11:20 a.m.
He was in front of a coaster when he swerved to the right to avoid hitting a pothole.
He lost his balance and fell.
The driver of the coaster bus swerved to avoid hitting him but Mr. Coombs got caught in the wheel of the vehicle and was dragged along the road.
He died on the spot.
Personnel from the Accident Investigation Reconstruction Unit processed the scene.
