Four pedestrians were mowed down along the Geddes Town main road in St. Mary on Sunday morning; one later died in hospital.
The deceased is 31-year-old Carrington Eulette.
The police say the other pedestrians suffered non-life threatening injuries and were treated at hospital and released.
It is reported that about 2:30 a.m., a white Toyota Probox motor car was travelling from Geddes Town towards Oxford, when, on reaching a section of the roadway, the driver lost control of the vehicle.
It crashed into the four pedestrians and subsequently veered off the road into a gully.
The injured persons were transported to the Port Maria Hospital, where Mr. Eulette died.
