A member of the Police Traffic Division, who's assigned to Prime Minister Portia Simpson-Miller's escort detail was involved in a traffic crash Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred about 10:30 at the corner of Harbour and East Streets.
A police source revealed that the Corporal was a member of the team travelling ahead of the convoy of vehicles escorting Mrs. Simpson-Miler to the Jamaica Conference Centre.
Mrs. Simpson-Miller was scheduled to deliver a special address at the 30th anniversary of the opening for signature of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
It's not yet clear how the crash occurred however the police Corporal was rushed to hospital by his colleagues.
