Police capture suspect in sexual assault of two children in Old Harbour

The suspect who was being sought in connection with the sexual assault of the two children in Old Harbour, St. Catherine last week has been captured in St. Thomas. 
 
He was captured in a police operation in the Yallahs area. 
 
The police are making arrangements to have him transferred into the custody of the St. Catherine South Police. 
 
Commanding officer for St. Catherine South, acting senior superintendent Leighton Gray, said the suspect is originally from St. Thomas and was previously convicted on sexual offence charges. 
 
"He was sentenced in St. Thomas for some sexual offences and sent to prison. And it's upon his release or whilst he was in custody at prison, that he forged some level of relationship with a lady who is from the Old Harbour space. And following that, upon his release, he was taken to that home in Old Harbour," the senior cop disclosed.
