The police have released the identities of the two people shot and killed in Yallahs, St. Thomas on Thursday evening.
They are 71-year-old Valine Strawn and his 70-year-old wife, Elizabeth - both of Newlands, Yallahs.
It's reported that about 8 o'clock Thursday evening, residents heard gunshots in the area and summoned the police. On arrival of the lawmen, the two bodies were seen lying in a yard.
A grey Toyota Axio motor car was observed parked in the yard with the front passenger door open.
The police recovered three spent casings and one live round.
Head of the Area 5 police Assistant Commissioner Gary Griffiths said the police are still unsure of the motive for the attack. He appealed to residents with information to contact the police.
