The St. Catherine South Police are investigating the sexual assault off two children in Old Habour, St. Catherine.
The sexual assault of two girls, aged nine and 10 reportedly occurred last Wednesday May 7, but has only now come to public attention.
According to police reports, the children were walking home from school in Church Pen, Old Harbour around midday when they were approached by a man unknown to them.
He allegedly forced them into nearby bushes, threatened to kill them if they raised an alarm and sexually assaulted them.
The young victims are receiving medical treatment and counseling.
The police are appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the Church Pen area last Wednesday to come forward.
