The St. Ann police are searching for two suspects in connection with the killing of two men in a taxi in the vicinity of Greenwich Acres in Mammee Bay.
Acting senior superintendent Rohan Elliot, who heads the division, confirmed the incident.
Preliminary reports of that around 1:45 Wednesday afternoon, two men boarded a taxi in St. Ann's Bay.
At the time, the driver was behind the wheel and another male passenger was seated in the back.
On reaching the Greenwich Acres entrance, the suspects requested a stop, alighted the car, and opened fire hitting the driver and a passenger who died at the scene.
The suspects reportedly hurried across the street and escaped in a waiting motor car which sped off in the direction of Ocho Rios.
The incident resulted in a traffic snarl as investigators processed the scene.
