The St. Andrew South Police have recovered an illegal gun and nearly 30 rounds of ammunition that were recently stolen from an apartment in the division.
The stolen items were recovered Friday morning during an operation at an open lot along Olympic Way.
It was reported that on August 4, thieves broke into an apartment along Three Oaks Road, Kingston 20, where a number of items were stolen.
These include a Heckler and Koch 9mm pistol, along with two magazines and forty-five 9mm rounds.
Shortly after midnight, the police team went to the open lot where a brown cardboard box containing the stolen firearm along with four magazines and eighteen 9mm rounds were recovered.
Two men have been taken into custody for questioning in the case.
