Police search for men involved in disturbance at Black River High

The St. Elizabeth police have launched a search for several men who stoned the Black River High School on Tuesday morning, causing panic among students, parents and the school administration.
 
Radio Jamaica News was informed that sometime after 9 a.m., a group of students got into a brawl on the school compound.
 
It's reported that one of the students left and returned with a group of men from the nearby New Town community.
 
The men were prevented from entering the facility by security personnel.
 
Radio Jamaica News was informed that the men began stoning the school, causing panic and forcing frightened students to run for cover.
 
The police were called but the men fled the scene.
 
A police officer told Radio Jamaica's correspondent that the police have identified some of the perpetrators and have launched a search for them.
 
A meeting was held involving the police, parents of the students involved in the fracas and the administration.
 
The school administration is yet to issue a statement on the incident.
