The St. Catherine North Quick Response team on Monday seized an AK-47 rifle with a magazine containing 14 rounds of ammunition on Dallas Lane in Spanish Town.
An operation was carried out about 5:15 p.m. when the illegal firearm was found along the bank of the river in the area.
No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.
