The St. Catherine North Police are still on the hunt for the main suspect in the murder of a woman in Commodore, Linstead last month.

Glendon 'Bull' Amos is also being sought for other crimes in the wider Linstead area.

Superintendent Hopton Nicholson, Commanding Officer for the division, says the police are having difficulty monitoring Commodore, which covers a large area and is heavily vegetated.

Superintendent Nicholson says the crimes being committed in the hotspot are being done by people who are well acquainted with the area.

He is imploring residents to assist the police in identifying the perpetrators even as the police make some headway in catching up with the suspects.

He was responding to concerns from Councillor the Bog Walk Division, Denise Murphy Bramwell, who called for the police to liaise with residents of Commodore.

Mrs Murphy Bramwell said since the murder of Marian Phillips and the wounding of a child, the residents have been living in fear.

Another woman was killed in the community in May.
