The Industrial Disputes Tribunal has staved off possible industrial action by Air Traffic Controllers.
The Air Traffic Controllers reportedly threatened industrial action over a dispute with the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority.
The Air Traffic Controllers claimed the management of the JCAA has breached the Agreement regarding wage and conditions of work. They also cited a general breakdown in talks between the two parties.
The IDT ordered that no industrial action be effected and any action already taken should be stopped immediately.
The Tribunal also ordered that normality be maintained.
In response, Kurt Solomon, head of the Air Traffic Controllers Association, said he was awaiting dates for a meeting to discuss the outstanding issues.
