Superintendent Eron Samuels
The policeman, who was severely injured in a hit-and-run in St James earlier this month, has died.
Constable Linroy Codner passed away in hospital Sunday morning.
He sustained multiple brain injuries after being struck by a white Toyota Probox while on duty in Granville on October 4.
The constable was reportedly thrown over a nearby precipice.
He was receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit at the Falmouth Hospital.
Superintendent Eron Samuels, commanding officer for the St. James Police, said Constable Codner was a dedicated policeman.
He said the St James police division was left in mourning.
