The detective Corporal who was seriously injured in a motor vehicle collision on the Laughlands main road in St. Ann on Monday has been transferred to a medical facility in Kingston.
The Corporal, who is attached to the Runaway Bay Criminal Investigations Branch, sustained injuries to his head, ribcage and spine.
The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash remains at the St. Ann's Bay Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Reports are that about 12:55 p.m., the Corporal was heading to a crime scene when he failed to keep left and collided with a Toyota Corolla station wagon.
The vehicles were extensively damaged.
