A member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force assigned to the Sandy Bay Police Station in Hanover is in serious condition in hospital following a motor vehicle crash on the Reading main road in St. James on Wednesday morning.
Radio Jamaica News was informed that the police officer was en route to work when the crash occurred.
It's reported that sometime after 8 a.m., the officer was driving his private motorcycle, when a taxi operator drove out from a minor road and collided with him.
The injured officer was transported to Cornwall Regional Hospital by his colleagues.
There were no reports of other injuries from the crash.
