Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness has given an indication that he will soon announce the date of the upcoming parliamentary general election.
Dr Holness, speaking at a Jamaica Labour Party Gospel Concert in Buff Bay Portland Sunday night, conceded that "it is by now very clear that very soon there will be an election."
"My job, therefore, is to make our calling and election sure," he declared, drawing directly from a biblical quote.
The JLP Leader said his government has been campaigning on achievements, but that he's not taking anything for granted.
Dr Holness said his administration has been on a drive to combat what he claims is misinformation by the Opposition in trying to sway the minds of the people.
