Princess Anne visits RJR

Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal, Princess Anne this morning visited the studios of Radio Jamaica Limited. On her arrival she was greeted by RJR Group Managing Director Gary Allen. Students from the Citizen’s Advice Bureau/RJR Basic School, also greeted her, waving flags.  

There was a strong security presence on the broadcaster's Lyndhurst Road compound with Jamaica Defence Force soldiers and police officers deployed at strategic points.

Princess Anne later sat in on a discussion as part of the Canada/ Caribbean Emerging Leaders Dialogue 2015 on RJR 94FM's Hotline talk programme.

The dialogue comprised 60 young leaders and entrepreneurs who give back to their countries through training, volunteerism and advocacy. Princess Anne is the President of the organization.  

One of the panelists, Simone Martin, of the British Virgin Islands, spoke of the need for capacity building to strengthen leadership among the region's youth.
