CDB grants US$300K to boost business activity in Haiti

The Barbados-based Caribbean Development Bank says it is providing a grant of over US$300 thousand for a two-year project to improve business activity in Haiti.

The funding is being provided through the Economic Partnership Agreement and the CARICOM Single Market and Economy that allows for the free movement of goods, skills, labour, and services across the region.

CDB's acting Vice President for Operations, Therese Turner Jones, said under the Capacity Building for Strengthening Quality Infrastructure project they are signalling their continued support for the Haitian government's macroeconomic stabilisation initiatives and strengthening economic growth and poverty reduction prospects.
