Public Session of PNP Annual Conference underway

Thousands of members and supporters of the People's National Party are gathered at Kingston's National Arena for the Public Session of the 86 year-old party's Annual Conference.

The Conference was addressed by a wide array of members, overseas delegates, candidates-in-waiting, other officials before the main address by the party's President, Mark Golding.

One of the more notable speakers at the Conference was Richard Currie, Colenel of the Accompong Maroons. 

Chief Currie and the current government have been at loggerheads about matters relating to certain rights being asserted by the Maroons.

Mr Golding is currently addressing the Conference.
