By Prince Moore

Six supporters of the People's National Party and four Jamaica Labour Party supporters are hospitalised after sustaining injuries during a two-vehicle crash in St. Thomas on Thursday evening.

The six men and four women crashed along the Trinityville main road sometime before 6 p.m.

Radio Jamaica News was informed that a grey Toyota Fielder motorcar transporting the six PNP supporters was attempting to join a convoy escorting the ballot boxes from the Trinityville polling station to the Western St. Thomas Returning Office in Albion.

The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle and collided with a motorcar transporting four JLP supporters who were travelling in the opposite direction.

They were taken to Princess Margaret Hospital for treatment.

Two of the injured people were later transferred to a Kingston hospital.
