Sixth place for Geneeke Leith

Geneeke Leith failed to add to Jamaica's medal tally in early action on the penultimate day of the IAAF World Junior Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

Leith struggled to 58.33 for 6th in the women's 400 meter hurdles, won by the American Shamier Little in 55.66 seconds. 

In more action on the penultimate day, the female mile relay team made progress but the men failed to advance.

The women finished second in their heat in 3:38.89 to move through fifth fastest. They were disqualified after placing second in their heat.

Yanique Thompson, World Youth Champion, and Daeshon Gordon both missed out on making the 100 meter hurdles final.

Thompson clocked 13.42 for third in her semi-final while Gordon did 13.54 for 4th in her semi, both times wind assisted.
