Soldiers were called in to assist following a standoff between police and detainees at the Ocho Rios lock-up in St. Ann on Wednesday.

Several detainees have been transferred from the Ocho Rios lock-up in St. Ann following Wednesday's standoff with police officers.
Police officers were conducting a cell search when some of the detainees resisted, leading to the disturbance.
Reinforcements had to be called in.
One injured detainee was treated at hospital.
The police say calm has been restored at the lock-up.
Five inmates from the lock-up were recently charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and unlawful wounding after a viral video showed them assaulting another inmate on January 19.
The injured man was treated at hospital.
